The Technical Team Lead is a trusted and experienced professional, using their analytical and organizational skills when managing a team of fellow Design Engineers working on the solutions in the legacy Voice/IPT and Unified Communications space.

Náplň práce

In this role you will be reporting to Head of Presales, while bearing the following responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 8-12 people based in Slovakia, UK, India and Egypt, within a functional group, its resources, knowledge, skills, processes, procedures, and tools to align with the current and future needs of the business,
  • Interact with Head of Delivery and other stakeholders and discuss project updates, issues and challenges,
  • Support the Head of Presales with recruitment for the team,
  • Understand and support project, department, and team objectives,
  • Assess and plan of skills mix and staff flexibility and development within the team,
  • Promote positive behaviours and a positive vision of the company to the team,
  • Interact face-to-face with the team on regular basis,
  • Mentor the team to become successful in projects,
  • Implement engineering processes and support the development of best practice,
  • Provide input into the strategic plans for the longer-term development of the function,
  • Deliver allocated tasks within budget and to timescales as agreed with the project management team,
  • Act as an Escalation point for issues and challenges within design engineering projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication in English, and strong influencing and networking skills,
  • Wealth of experience managing people and their growth, previous experience from technical / engineering role in IT,
  • Ability to deliver outstanding quality in a pressure environment and to work under own initiative when required,
  • Initial experience or at least an understanding of Unified Communications and associated technologies and the business processes in an IT company,
  • Good knowledge of the Telecommunication market in general,
  • Being comfortable with discussing all areas of IT with different levels of seniority and converse clearly with all levels of IT competent users,
  • Positive & “can do” attitude towards customer service and demonstrate clear business focus and desire to work,
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with third party suppliers to deliver products or services,
  • Flexible approach to travel.
